The Indie Lounge
The Indie Lounge is presented by the Multicultural Cinema Club/Working Centre (Kitchener), Grand River Film Fest (Cambridge, Kitchener, Waterloo), and Ed Video Media Arts Centre (Guelph) and is a conference featuring advanced workshops, demonstrations, panel discussions, and guest speakers about independent film and video creation and distribution. The weekend is also an opportunity for those interested in film and video from different cities to meet.
Last year, a diverse audience from all around Southern Ontario saw a Red Camera demonstration, Steadicam demonstration, took an advanced editing workshop, participated in a forum about internet distribution, and heard keynote talks from Derek VanLint (cinematographer, Alien) and JF Lawton (screenwriter, Pretty Woman).
