Volunteers
Here's a list of the volunteer jobs available these days around Ed Video. This is not a complete list, and we do take suggestions. To volunteer for any of these things call the office at (519)836-9811 or email liz@edvideo.org
Party organizing, event planning and general help with deficit retirement. We have lots of things on the list to do it and a board of directors with only 9 members, so if you are itnerested in any of the various forms of fundraising, contact liz@edvideo.org.
If you are feeling a little more physical, we have scads of jobs to be done around the office. This is Angus' list and if you'd like to help please contact him at angus@edvideo.org.
Renovation Work
Bathroom 1 (formerly women’s washroom)
• Wash and sand wallpaper adhesive 1 day
• Wall prep (mudding and sanding) 2 hours (overall)
• Paint (prime and paint) 2 hours (overall)
• Re-install mirror 15 minutes
• Fix fan 15 minutes
Bathroom 2 (formerly men’s washroom)
• Clean out garbage 1 hour
• Find homes for items we want to keep 1 hour
• Wash and sand wallpaper adhesive 3 hours
• Paint (prime and paint) 2 hours (overall)
• Replace/fix and clean toilet ??
Editing Suite
• Install trim (1/4 round) 2 hours
• Install seam (floor joiner) in the two doorways 20 minutes
Equipment Room
• Paint floor 1 hour (overall)
Gallery Storage (back end of studio)
• Complete the wall (mudding and sanding) 3 hours (overall)
• Paint (prime and paint) new wall 1 hour (overall)
• Paint touch-ups for existing wall 1 hour (overall)
• Install the flooring 1 day
Gallery
• Install trim 5 hours
• Drywalling the window ??
Lobby
• Prep walls for painting 1 hour
• Mild wall repair (ex. near floor at the corner of the bathroom) 1 hour
• Paint white walls 1 hour
• Paint touch-ups on red wall 30 minutes

• Remove sliding window 1 hour
• Shave door to studio 1 hour
• Install ¼ round 4 hours

Hallway (Main)
• Finish removing wallpaper 30 minutes
• Repair damaged portion of the wall 1 hour
• Wash and sand wallpaper adhesive 1 day+
• Paint (prime and paint) 4 hours (overall)
• Wash carpets (alternative is to remove and paint the floor)
• Remove garbage 2 hours
Kitchen
• Paint the floor 30 minutes
Liz’s Office
• Paint the floor 30 minutes
Photocopy Room
• Clear out garbage 1 hour
• Re-sort clutter 1 hour
• Paint floor 30 minutes
Scott’s Office
• Remove carpeting 3 hours
• Paint floor 30 minutes
Server/Storage
• Remove carpeting 2 hours
• Paint floor 30 minutes
Soundbooth
• Clear out clutter 1 hour
• Install sliding window in door 1 hour
• Install new light ??
• Sound proof the walls 2 hours
• Seam the floor between the soundbooth and editing suites 15 minutes
Studio
• Seam the floor between the studio and lobby 20 minutes
• Paint touch-ups on existing wall 1 hour
• Fix ceiling tile 30 minutes
• Install trim (1/4 round) 2 hours
• Fix hole where the sliding window used to be (install a lesson board)
• Clear out the garbage 2 hours
Tool Room
• Remove carpeting 2 hours
• Paint floor 30 minutes
